Holy Trinity Church - after the 1905 fire
The original bluestone church, completed in 1864, was situated near the corner of George and Clarendon Streets. On New Year’s Day 1905 the church was completely gutted by fire.

1988 Cairns Memorial Church fire
In the early evening of 15 August 1988 the Cairns Memorial Church caught fire. Professional photographer and resident of East Melbourne, Rod Goodwin was returning home from an assignment in the city when the fire was beginning to engulf this historic church. With his most suitable professional equipment at hand, Rod captured this dramatic and detailed record of the progress of the fire.

Fred Williams - a remembrance of a friend past
Copy of obituary of Fred Williams, artist, written by Barbara Blackman for the The Bulletin. It tells of Blackman's first meeting with Williams at their house in East Melbourne. Charles and Barbara Blackman lived in a small cottage behind 129 George Street in 1951. File also includes copy of letter from Barbara Blackman to Margaret Slaney, dated 25 May 1982.
