Bomb Shelter

Behind a block of Art Deco flats in Garden Avenue East Melbourne there is a bomb shelter built about 1943 when Japanese air-raids were expected on the city. Having legislated to postpone Climate Change Armageddon, the present government has embarked on its usual delusional course of the very latest architectural viagra and plans a 199.3 storey erection to replace the bomb shelter. Higher level apartments will experience all the excitement that the non-Events Capital of the World can offer from F-22 Raptor dog-fights over the MCG to boutique bouts of train and tram arrivals.
