A box of index cards used by Winston Burchett to record his basic research on East Melbourne. There are 1,954 cards containing handwritten and typed notes as well as photographs taken by Burchett. There are some panoramic photographs taken from the top of the Hilton Hotel and the Mercy Hospital. Otherwise the cards are specific to individual houses, buildings, or terraces.
