Cliveden Mansions 1968
A collection of photos taken just prior to the demolition of Cliveden Mansions which once stood on the corner of Wellington Parade and Clarendon Street, East Melbourne. The house was demolished to make way for the Hilton on the Park, now the Pullman Hotel. It is pictured devoid of all furniture and furnishings which had been sold at auction in the previous weeks.

Hilton Hotel in closure proposal
Newspaper article by Chris Vedelago about the possible closure of the Hilton Hotel in Clarendon Street, East Melbourne. At the time of the article the owners, Brookfield, had the property and two adjoining properties up for sale. Mention is made of development plans for the adjoining properties and the strong community opposition to them, particularly from the East Melbourne Group.

It's goodbye to Cliveden
Newspaper clipping about the sale and imminent demolition of Cliveden Mansions to make way for what is described as a multi-storey motel. This became the Hilton on the Park Hotel, and is now the Pullman Hotel.
