Built 1871 by James Harper, Builder, for the Rev James Caldwell. Three 2 storey brick houses. Notable for the coach house entrance at 165.
Rev James Caldwell lived at 18 Gore Street, Fitzroy and was minister at the St. Georges Presbyterian Church, Collingwood.

Built 1860 by George Black for Charles James Hodgson. 2 Storey stone house of 8 rooms. thought to be the oldest surviving house in Gipps Street.
occupied 1862 by Frederick Haller and later in 1870 by Dr. John Singleton, doctor, social worker and reformer who later had his surgery in Clarendon Street.

Built 1861 by S Ward for John Thomas Greenwood a 2 storey brick house in Italianate manner. Sold 1869 to Rev David Nimmo, pastor of the Congregational Church, who extended the house for sister to conduct a Ladies College, Ormiston House. Sold again 1871 to Robert Ramsay MLA.

Built 1864 for Samuel Ramsden - a fine brick and stone mansion of 20 rooms.
Ramsden lived in the house 1864 - 1876 and his widow until 1886. Ramsden operated the Carlton Flour Mills and in 1868c established a paper mill on the Yarra bank near Princes Bridge. House demolished in 1960's to make way for the Mercy Hospital.
