Brochure advertising the auction of 164 Hotham Street, East Melbourne, scheduled for 6 October 2007.
Hand written note provides the information that the property was passed in on the day for 1.5m. Later sold to Tom Warwick for 1.6m.

East Melbourne, Gipps Street 159, Little Parndon. 2013
A series of 16 photos taken at the time the house was open for inspection prior to sale. The house had been owned by Lord and Lady Casey. Lord Casey died in 1976 and Lady Casey in 1983. From that time until 2013 the house remained in the hands of the Trustees of Lady Casey's estate and operated as accomodation for visiting artists, musicians and actors.

Richmond Barracks, plans 1860
Sketch plans of the Richmond Mounted Police Barracks made in preparation for the building of a new police hospital.
The Barracks were on the site of the residential area now bounded by Wellington Parade, Vale Street and Hoddle Street. The Barracks were decommissioned in 1881, when the site was subdivided and sold to private buyers.

Howarth family in residence at Parliament House
A collection of photos and newspaper clippings recording the life of Howarth family when they lived at Parliament House.
Colin Howarth was the Housekeeper of the Legislative Assembly. He lived in an apartment at Parliament House with his wife, June and son, Darren.

Thomas William Lloyd, carver
sketch portrait and obituary for Thomas William Lloyd who died in 1889. Lloyd was the first owner of 157 Wellington Parade South, built 1862.

Parcels Van 10CM at Jolimont Railway yards, c.1972
Colour photo of Parcels Van 10CM parked in Jolimont Railway Yards, (sidings). The MCG is visible in the background providing a useful landmark. The land was sold to a private developer in the 1980s and became the residential precinct known as Wellington Gardens, East Melbourne.

Parliament House Library
A black and white postcard of Parliament House c.1905. It was printed in Prussia as part of the Victoria Stamp Market (VSM) Series.
Australia introduced the divided back on postcards in 1905. This allowed a message and the address to be written side by side.

Eastern Hill Fire Station
A black and white postcard published by Robert Jolley, Melbourne. It is postmarked Hamilton 14 November 1906, but is earlier as from 1905 all postcards were printed with a vertical line down the centre, allowing for a message on one side and the address on the other. This postcard has no vertical line.

Eastern Hill from Parliament House
A colour tinted postcard with a wide white border. It was printed in Saxony for the Victoria Stamp Market (V St M). The message on the back of the card is dated 23 February 1910. This is probably about the time the card was printed.
The photo was taken from the roof of Parliament House and shows a view of Eastern Hill looking towards Fittzroy.

Small card folder with 12 photographs. Each photo has its title printed on reverse in handwritten style. Valentines snapshots were made of many places in the world, and packaged in a convenient size to be posted. They were printed in Great Britain.

This map is described as 'shewing the buildings facing the principal streets at the time of survey'. A handwritten note says 'Submitted to the Surveyor General with my letter dated Nov'r 29 1853'. It is signed Clement Hodgkinson, Surveyor.
The buildings shown are colour-coded according to building material.

Elizabeth Cotton Clark of 190 George Street
Life story of Elizabeth Cotton Clark compiled by Margaret Clark with additional notes by Jason Clark. Elizabeth was a photographic colourist as well as a talented botanical artist. The house at 190 George Street was built for her in 1909. She died only a year later.
She was the sister of John James Clark, architect, noted for the Old Treasury building.

Railways. January 1978
Railways was a monthly newsletter published by the Vic Rail Board. In the January 1978 issue an article appeared which described the creation of a garden behind the Jolimont Workshops. Three photos from the City of Melbourne's City Collection.
All the photos have been taken to illustrate illegal parking.
The information provided gives dates of c1956 indicating that the parking was a result of the Olympic Games. However the cars, and number plates, indicate an earlier date. It is possibly Grand Final Day.

However his career began in Melbourne as a fashion photographer. He lived at 17 George Street, East Melbourne during the late 1950s.
