Newspaper clipping reporting on peoples' anger over the proposed sell-off of the old Peter MacCallum Cancer Hospital in East Melbourne. The state government claims it is surplus to its needs but the public view is that the site is such an important one it should be kept for public use and re-purposed. The photo shows five people standing outside the Peter MacCallum Hospital. They are all residents of East Melbourne and members of the East Melbourne Historical Society. They are left to right: Liz Rushen, Jill Fenwick, Stuart Hamilton, Murray Hohnen, Graham Shepherd. Also a follow up letter to the Editor [15 Nov 2017] from Jill Fenwick describing how the site could be used to benefit all Melburnians.
