Obituary for Patricia Kennedy OBE, actor. After leaving school Kennedy enrolled at Maie Hoban's school of drama in East Melbourne. In 1938 Maie Hoban moved her school from Elwood to a space in what the Australian Dictionary of Biography describes as “a workroom in the grounds of St Peter’s Church of England, Eastern Hill, which she converted into a small theatre – the Pilgrim Theatre.” It appears this would have been in the old school building behind the vicarage in Albert Street.
