MEEHAN, Henry Francis
Henry Francis Meehan was born in Middlesborough, Yorkshire, England, the son of John Meehan and Mary Maize. He had four brothers, James, Joseph, Patrick and John, and two sisters Mary and Sarah Meehan. Of these, James, Mary and Joseph, all died young, while his father, John,died in 1906 and his mother in 1912.

MEEHAN, Michael
Born in Colac, Victoria, Michael Meehan was the son of John and Ellen Corbett. When he enlisted on 6 May, 1916, he was already 36 years and three months old, a single man, working as a labourer. He was not a big man, only 5' 4" in height, with blue eyes and brown hair. By religion, he was a Roman Catholic.

MILLS, Claude William
Claude William Mills was the only son of William Bothwell Mills and Emily Jane Mills, nee Bienvenu. He hasd two sisters, May Louise Mills, born in 1883, died 1894 and Isabella May Dimond Mills, born in 1897 and died 1992. Claude Mills born on 4 November, 1892 in South Yarra and enlisted to fight when he was 22 years and 3 months old, on 18 February, 1915.

Herman Edwin Briese Milne was born in Fitzroy, either in 1897, as listed on his official record of birth, or November 1895, as he wrote on his application to join the army. He was one of nine children born to Alfred Frank Milne and his wife Elizabeth Augusta Briese.

MITCHELHILL, Russell
Russell Mitchelhill was born in East Melbourne on 19 September, 1899. He was one of four children, three bys and a girl, of David Cade Mitchelhill (1861-1931) and his wife Amy Ethel, nee Wade. Russell Mitchelhill was still a student when he enlisted on 20 November, 1917. He had served four years in the Senior Cadets in Brighton.He was 5' 5" in height with brown hair and brown eyes.

MOAR, James H
James Moar was born in 1891 in Newcastle, New South Wales to James and Robina Moar. In 1898, his mother passed away in St .Kilda leavng his father with seven surviving children. His father James who arrived as a four year old with his parents from Orkney, Scotland, passed away in 1911. William, James's brother passed away in Gallipoli in 1915.

John Moffat was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1885, but when he was six months old, his parents migrated to New Zealand. He was brought up in Dunedin and had three brothers, two of whom, Robert and William, also enlisted. William was also a casualty.
