094 Kookaburra November 2006094 Kookaburra November 2006An informal tour of Bishopscourt generously hosted by Archbishop Philip and Mrs. Joy Freier and guided by Bishop James Grant and Helen Page.

Bishop James Grant, who has written a history of Bishopscourt, provided an interesting introduction to the house and its many occupants. Our Gallery > Bishopscourt focuses on the period 1957-1977 when Archbishop Frank and Mrs Jean Woods were in residence with their family.

Helen Page gave a guided tour of the garden. Over the last eight years the garden has been restored and maintained by a group of volunteers led by Helen. As the garden has suffered badly due to the drought Helen has put together a collection of photos to show the garden in better times and also key events and plantings from 2001 to 2009. This may be seen at our Gallery > Bishopscourt Garden.
