A pair of single storey, single fronted cottages. A c.1960s addition has been made to the fronts of the cottages.
It appears from the Rate Books that No. 101 was built three years later than No. 99, although the Intent to Build is for two houses. Thomas Geddes did not live in either house and sold both c.1862. For the next ten years the houses changed hands several times until sold to William Sheridan c.1873. He continued to own them until at least 1890. He rented them out to a rapidly changing line of tenants.
Thomas Geddes was a builder. After working for some years in Melbourne he moved first to Warrnambool, and later to Mortlake, where he was responsible for building many of the large mansions in the area, principally Hexham Park for Mr. W. Armstrong, and Mount Fyans for Mr W. Cumming. He died 1889 in Mortlake after being knocked down by a tram-car.
