The following are objectives for our web site which are a little bit different from the objectives for the Society as set out in our About page. This hasn't gone through a "constitutional" process, so comments are very welcome.

1. Promote the history of East Melbourne.

2. Promote the East Melbourne Historical Society.

3. Create an environment for collaborative research.

4. Build an archive of material on our history.

5. Collaborate with other groups and institutions.

6. Publish our work and make it widely accessible.
