1854. Hepburn bought Lot 16 in George Street. Richard Fitzgerald to build house for Robert
Hepburn.
1855. Robert McWilliam to build 2 houses for Robert Hepburn. Probably Nos. 199-203.
1856. First tenants: Geo. Turnbull, D. Sawley, Dr. A? Cairns - was Presbyterian Minister after whom Cairns Memorial Church was named.

1898 - 1906 operated as a private hospital.
1870-1906 Names mentioned: Kerr Robert, Hynam Edward, Reid Peter, Hughes George, Garlick L (Lucy ?), Langford John, Patterson G W.
1908-1950 Names mentioned: Turnbull E, Turnbull W R.
1950c - 1970c Cascia Court Girls Hostel, Boyle family.

East Melbourne, Hotham Street 121, Arcadia

Description: 

A double fronted, single story house of bluestone

History: 

121 Hotham Street, along with its twin neighbour, 125 Hotham Street, was built in 1860 by Robert Richardson for himself. Richardson was a builder and went on to build several other houses in East Melbourne. Two years later he sold both properties to George Black, another builder, who was also active in East Melbourne. During this time the properties were rented by tenants on an annual lease.

1860. MCC BR: No.107. Corner Gipps Street. Wyley to build wooden house for self.
1860. MCC BR: No.101. William Blewden to build for Charles Smith, house, 8 rooms and offices.
1860. No.101. Mrs. Ainslie Ladies School.
1861-2. Name mentioned: Villiers W. Wylie. Wood, 2 rooms.
1861. No.101. Chas. Smith - owner/occupier - 8 rooms, unfinished.

East Melbourne, Powlett Street 107

Description: 

Originally a single-storey double-fronted house with verandah, and stable.  Now very much altered with a second storey added, and a garage in front of the stable. 

History: 

107 Powlett Street was built in 1863 by James Nation for Vincent Matthew Wylly (sometimes erroneously Wylie or Wyley). It had five rooms, a kitchen and bathroom and a garden on its western side. 

In 1867 Wylly commissioned James Nation to build a small cottage on the garden site.  This is now numbered 153 Gipps Street.
