Built 1867 by Muray and Hill for Alexander Hutcheson, brick house 6 rooms.
1868 - owner Thompson, occupied by Hymen Woolf.

Description: 

This double-fronted single storey house was built a year before its matching but single-fronted neighbour. Together the two make an unusual combination. No.77 has a fine intact front verandah with wave form fretwork and brackets. The dormer windows are not original

History: 

The house was built as an investment for owner and builder, Archibald Thompson (sometimes Thomson).

Description: 

Small brick house, plain in style, with no adornments.

History: 

This house sits behind the houses at 158-164 Hotham Street, known as Cyprus Terrace.  It is entered from Hotham Street via Hotham Place and has been given the address 166 Hotham Street.  Originally the entry was from Powlett Street via Magnolia Place and was known 38a Powlett Street and then, after 1890, 91a Powlett Street.
