Hoddle Street between Albert St and Victoria Pde St John's R.C. church Church built 1901 Celtic Cross & Irish Round Tower Old Gothic church opened 1866 New church foundation stone laid 1924 Mrs Koch of Gipps Street claims her mother told her a relative Richard Dennehy was architect of the first St Johns. A Dennerby was partner in the firm that designed Queen Bess Row. From MCC BR: 1865 J.B.
