Fund raising for the new Presbyterian Intermediate Hospital in East Melbourne began in 1930. This small flyer encouraged children to raise funds for their own section of the hospital.  Ways to raise money were suggested and it was hoped that every boy and girl would be able to earn £1 toward the appeal.
The card shows a drawing of the proposed design for the hospital, which was not completed as shown.

They had three daughters who would have been in their mid teens at the time of this fund raising venture.
Dr Amos was educated at Scotch College which had previously occupied the same site as the new hospital.
