Digital archive Newspaper article about the discovery of 240 mystery negatives depicting Melbourne scenes from the 1930s. They were donated to the East Melbourne Library where librarians and volunteers uncovered the story behind them and identified the subject matter. Louise McKenzie was the donor and the photos are now referred to as the McKenzie Collection.
The photographer was eventually identified as Hugh Bull, first full time photographer for The Age
Many of the photos were used in an exhibition Newsworthy: Melbourne in Photographs 1933-1936 held at the library in 2023
