  • Enlisted on the 27 June 1915 at the age of 29 years and 2 months, weighing 10 stone 2 lbs
  • Upon arrival in Egypt, William suffered with medical ailments and had many visits to hospitals with influenza
  • Embarked per the "Royal George" from Alexandria for France where William again had many visitis to hospital and returned to Englnd for treatmet of Trench Fever
  • On the 28th March 1918 proceeded to France and was killed in action 29 April 1918
