His Father was Thomas Arkwright Fielding and his mother was Sophie Fielding, nee Emmerson

There is no clear indication that he was living in East Melbourne apart from an hand written note on his enlistment papers. He gave his full address c/o his legal practice Rigby and Fielding 60 Market Street Melbourne.

On the 1914 Electoral Roll is he is listed as living at 94 Riversdale Road  Camberwell.

He died on the 28th August 1941. The burial service was held at St John's Church, Camberwell, and after to the Springvale Crematorium.

The death notice in the Frankston Standard embellished his background a little, stating that he attended Camberwell Grammer School where he was both the captain and the dux of the school. In fact he never attended this school and his only involment with the school was as a member of the School Council for several years in the 1920s.
