An informal tour of Bishopscourt generously hosted by Archbishop Philip and Mrs. Joy Freier and guided by Bishop James Grant and Helen Page.
Bishop James Grant, who has written a history of Bishopscourt, provided an interesting introduction to the house and its many occupants. Our Gallery > Bishopscourt focuses on the period 1957-1977 when Archbishop Frank and Mrs Jean Woods were in residence with their family.
Helen Page gave a guided tour of the garden. Over the last eight years the garden has been restored and maintained by a group of volunteers led by Helen. As the garden has suffered badly due to the drought Helen has put together a collection of photos to show the garden in better times and also key events and plantings from 2001 to 2009. This may be seen at our Gallery > Bishopscourt Garden.
